About the host
Passionate about food history, I am a journalist who has been researching and writing about cow tripe for the past 25 years. I have written numerous publications on the subject and I manage the TroppaTrippa.com site entirely dedicated to this interesting subject.
What we will do
If you are in Firenze, Italy and want to taste the lampredotto sandwich and learn about its history, I offer a 2-hour walk through the city center to discover the most important locations of the tripe trade throughout the centuries - and then pay a visit to one of the oldest tripeseller in town.
What I will give to you
The experience includes 1 lampredotto sandwich + 1 drink (wine or water) + 1 copy of "The little book of lampredotto" (a 40-page publication in English containing history and photos of the tripesellers, delicious and easy-to-prepare recipes, and a chapter dedicated to the same walk through the streets of Firenze).
